Her work has focused on evaluating laws and policies related to medicines, food supplements, and pharmacy practice. These research endeavors have provided critical insights that have influenced policymaking and advanced the role of pharmacists as key influencers of health policy-making in the Philippines.
Prof. Robles's leadership extends far beyond the confines of our institution. She has held prominent positions in national and regional organizations: previously as President of the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA), Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy (AASP) and Asian Conference in Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and currently as President of the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA). Under her leadership, the PPhA initiated numerous advocacy programs and expanded partnerships to enhance the competency of pharmacists and promote the rational use of medicines. Her efforts have garnered recognition, including the prestigious Silver Anvil Award for community-based public health education where the proper use of antimicrobials and rational use of medicines were brought to communities.
Her leadership and dedication to the pharmacy profession have been acknowledged on many fronts. She has received a multitude of awards and grants, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the UP Pharmacy Alumni Association and Outstanding Professional in Pharmacy from the Professional Regulation Commission.
It is not just her professional achievements that make Prof. Yolanda Robles a remarkable figure, but also her personal qualities. She is known for her selfless and unwavering commitment to her faith and her singleminded dedication to her work. Her joy is in doing good deeds for others more than personal rewards. In every sense, Prof. Yolanda Robles is a beacon of inspiration and an embodiment of excellence in the field of pharmacy.
