FAPA-CP Highlights Advanced Pharmacy Training Initiatives Ac

 SEOUL, November 2024 - The Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Association (FAPA-CP) convened a significant session focusing on advanced pharmaceutical training programs during the 30th FAPA Congress in Seoul. The special talks spotlighted existing advanced training frameworks in Korea and Thailand while examining developmental roadmaps for Indonesia and the Philippines.

The session served as a crucial platform for sharing experiences and best practices in pharmaceutical education across Asian nations. With established programs in Korea and Thailand serving as benchmarks, the discussions provided valuable insights for countries working to enhance their advanced training systems.

Of particular interest were the presentations on proposed roadmaps for Indonesia and the Philippines, outlining these nations' strategies to strengthen their pharmaceutical education frameworks. The talks emphasized the importance of standardized advanced training in meeting evolving healthcare needs across the region.


"These discussions represent a significant step forward in harmonizing advanced pharmaceutical training across Asia," commented Dr. Rungpetch Sakulbumrungsil. "By learning from established programs and sharing development strategies, we can collectively elevate the standard of pharmacy professional training throughout the region."


The special talks underscored FAPA-CP's commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among Asian nations in pharmaceutical education and practice advancement.

The speakers session are as following


  • "Introduction of Certified Pharmacy Specialists training in Korea" by Kyung Suk Choi Vice director, the Board of Certified Pharmacy Specialists, Korean Society of Health-System Pharmacists
  • "Advanced and Specialized Training in Pharmacy in Thailand" by Dr. Rungpetch Sakulbumrungsil, President of FAPA-CP
  • "Roadmap of FAPA-CP Indonesia Chapter" by Franciscus Kristianto 
  • "Roadmap for advanced training in the Philippines” by Prof. Aleth Therese L. Dacanay, Ph.D.
